Welcome to the Examiner, the Official Newspaper of the Republic! Currently, the issue of the day is the brewing conflict between the Koili rebels in the Allied States of Omnitma. Today, the Assembly voted to abandon our neutrality, in favor of the Allied States. This isn’t us declaring war on the Koili, or even launching airstrikes; it is, as Foreign Minister Iturbide said, “Only a declaration of support.” The situation is still ongoing.

The Platan Examiner The Assembly Votes to Stay Out of the Bulthland Affair
Today, our President, Benito Ibanez, received a telegram from Aglrinia stating to join a conference about Bulthland and it’s expansion. After fierce debate in the Assembly, the Assembly voted 3:1 to not attend. The Council voted 3:2 in agreement. This is due to our Republic’s isolationist stance that has continued since our annexation of Peru. Another factor is that Bulthland is far away from our position, and, therefore, poses little threat to us. Even the Opposition Trabajo and Triunfo Parties agreed with the majority Unidad Party, proving that politicians can agree on some things. March 8, 2018
